Stirring On Mars « Result #1 on Mar 26, 2009, 12:13am »
The US finally sent the first manned space mission to Mars. The spacecraft gently touched down and the astronaut descended and tested the atmosphere. Low and behold it was safe for people to breathe. He removed his space suit and exited the spacecraft. He was amazed to find himself in a lush green valley surrounded with beautiful wooded hills. He hiked for some distance and came upon a beautiful little white cottage with a lush green lawn surrounded by a white picket fence like something out of Better Homes and Gardens. He walked up to the front door and found it open. He walked inside, looked around and hearing noises from the kitchen, he went back there. WOW, to his amazement he saw the most beautiful blonde he had ever seen standing over a large pot on the stove. Inside the pot was a gooey mess that she was stirring with a large sthingy. As he watched she kept stirring and stirring.
After a couple hours he finally asked her what she was doing. She replied that she was having a baby. He was quite skeptical but after a couple more hours of stirring she reached down into the gooey mess and pulled out a beautiful baby girl. He told her that was really amazing but that was not the way it was done on Earth.
She asked, "How do you do it on Earth?"
With a twinkle in his eyes he said come on back to the bedroom and I'll show you. After an hour of the wildest sex he had ever experienced he lay back exhausted and lit up a cigarette.
A Short Holiday « Result #2 on Mar 25, 2009, 11:04pm »
Alan worked in an office in the city. He worked very hard and really looked forward to his holidays.
¡¡¡¡He usually went to the seaside, but one year he saw an ad in a newspaper "Enjoy country life. Spend a few weeks at Willow Farm. Good food, fresh air, horse riding, walking, fishing. Reasonable prices ."
¡¡¡¡" This sounds like a good idea." he thought, " I' 11 spend a month at Willow Farm. I'll enjoy horse riding, walking and fishing. They'll make a change from sitting by the seaside.
¡¡¡¡Four days later he returned home.
¡¡¡¡"What' s wrong with Willow Farm ?" his friend asked him. " Didn't you enjoy country life ?"
¡¡¡¡"Country life was fine," Alan said." But there was another problem.
¡¡¡¡"Oh, what?"
¡¡¡¡Well, the first day I was there a sheep died, and we had roast lamb for dinner.
¡¡¡¡“Fresh meat is the best.”_"I know, but on the second day a cow died, and we had roast beef for dinner. "
¡¡¡¡"Lucky you!"
¡¡¡¡"You don't understand," Alan said." On the third day a pig died and we had roast pork for dinner."
¡¡¡¡" A different roast every day." Jack exclaimed.
¡¡¡¡"Let me finish," Alan said." On the fourth day the farmer died and I didn't dare stay for dinner!"
Mrs. Liu was a peasant. The driver of the BMW, Su Xiuwen, is the wife of a businessman. The initial scrape was minor, but after a confrontation, Mrs. Su drove the car into Mrs. Liu.
And that would have ended it, except for two things. First, the "BMW case" tapped into sharp class resentments emerging in this Communist country, which long espoused a classless society. And second, that anger was able to coalesce in what is becoming an increasingly influential court of appeals in China: the Internet, which boiled with online outrage.
This week, in a rare step, officials here announced an investigation into possible judicial corruption in the case, state media reported. There is already speculation that Mrs. Su could face a harsher verdict, a result that would appease the online critics but could also set an uneasy precedent for reformers trying to establish a genuine rule of law in China.
That yawning gap is a fundamental contradiction of China's economic boom. Wealth is pouring in, swelling the middle class, yet hundreds of millions still live in poverty.
Here in the northeast, once the country's industrial center but now mired in unemployment, it is not hard to find class bitterness rubbed raw by the case. "We ordinary people have to obey the laws," said a taxi driver. Mrs. Su, he said, does not: "She has the power. She has the privilege. She can drive wildly."
Initially, the accident barely attracted attention outside Harbin.
Then, after bystanders intervened, she returned to the car, apparently to back up. But she unexpectedly drove forward, crushing Mrs. Liu and injuring several others. The car crashed to a halt against a tree.
"My wife was dragged for six or seven meters," Mr. Dai said. He said he tried to lift her right arm but it was broken. He saw blood coming out of her mouth. "People said she was already dead," he recalled. "I was just dumbfounded."
The question at trial was whether Mrs. Su had intentionally tried to harm Mrs. Liu or had simply mistakenly put the car into first gear instead of reverse. The trial was notable for its lack of eyewitnesses, though many saw the incident.
One of them was Mr. Dai, who said he had received almost $10,000, roughly eight years' wages. He said he did not even attend the trial. "I just want peace for my family," a weary Mr. Dai said as one of his two daughters listened. "I don't care about the verdict and whether it is justice or not."
But China's "netcitizens" cared very much. Editors at Sina.com, the country's most popular Web site, said that after the verdict, more than 200,000 messages were posted to chat rooms, many suggesting corruption was to blame.
Rules & Guidelines « Result #4 on Sept 1, 2005, 11:24am »
RULES & GUIDELINES
1. This board is for those who are from the age of 15 and up, I am only warning you though. Since most people lie about their ages I am going to warn you first, members of this board can curse to the language may get extremely bad and things may get steamy, so I ask that those of you under 15 years must not join this board.
2. Yes, as I said above, you may curse. I don't care what is said, go ahead, it is fine with me, just don't say anything offensive and do not be nasty. If you say something racist to someone there will be a punishment, I don't tolerate Racism.
3. Do not create a Mary-Sue character, everyone has some weakness and people do make mistakes. No one is that perfect, not in looks or anything. If you put that your character has no weaknesses, fears, or makes no mistakes I'll delete your character.
4. No power-play, this is when you control someone's character. You must attempt to grab someone, if you don't then I will allow them to say that they moved away before you grabbed them. Also, if you do posts such as, 'Kira kills Bob' then I'll delete it and grant the person their life.
5. Be descriptive with your posts, I hate it when people post things such as 'Bob casts some kind of spell and creates a tornado, he uses his hands to make the tornado move'. Where did Bob make the tornado move? What did he do with it? What happened, where did it go, what was the point of this, how did it move, did it hit anyone? Please be descriptive with your posts, the more descriptive they are the better they are.
6. No one-liner posts, these are posts which in my opinion suck. Here's an example of such sucky posts,
'Jaclyn ran into a wall on accident and started crying'
That, is, not, allowed.. that isn't even a post!!! What is the point of it? How is anyone supposed to respond properly to it without having to make a post just like it, it gets on peoples nerves. Make all posts at least 150 words long please.
7. Yes, you are aloud to play a character from the show, but make sure that you role play them properly and can get on at least 5 days per week.
I'll be updating these rules whenever I see that I forgot to put a rule that needs to be here or when I get complaints about something and find that I agree with them, so if you will, please come and check up on the rules.
